One of the world's leading aircraft engineering and maintenance service provider in Hong Kong initiated Robotic Process Automation project with a goal to automate one of the most labor-intensive and time-consuming process related to air cargo tracking. The aim of the RPA project was to increase operational efficiency and reduce air cargo tracking lead time.
Brought to the production robot delivered tremendous results by improving operational efficiency of the target process by more than 400%.
RPA Use Case Scope:
- Process name: Air cargo tracking;
- Involved applications: > 10 external web-portals, internal core system, corporate e-mail client;
- RPA Platform: UiPath;
- RPA deployment setup: unattended automation.
Key implemented robot's capabilities:
- Monitoring incoming e-mail box to capture airwaybills as per defined business logic;
- Searching and scrapping the data from respective external web-portal in scope of each airwaybill as per defined business rules;
- Data post processing through the internal core system as per defined business rules;
- Reporting to the responsible business users on the results of processing.
